A purpose built student accommodation block on a part derelict commercial site providing 115 no. en-suite rooms, communal kitchen/dining rooms and a separate warden’s block providing common room and laundry facilities. The fast-track build programme utilised pre-cast piles and ground beams, with a timber frame construction overclad with timber boarding and thin coat rendered boards, to allow completion in time for the new Autumn term at nearby Mid-Kent College.
