We have been supporting a charity in Turkana, Kenya which is undertaking a project “Furrows in the Desert”. The charity will install local irrigation systems in the desert and create new farmland. We have been involved with two of the facilities; the first was a small community facility and accommodation block. The latest is a secure management centre and accommodation quarters for visiting scientists and managers. The project has been built using local labour and materials.
