Once again The Burlington Arcade played host to another glittering event for 320 guests.



The Moet and the (golden gilt) Laduree macaroons flowed as the best of Cordwainers at London College of Fashion’s students kick started the first ever Coutts London Jewellery Week filling the windows of number 66 and 67 Burlington Arcade with their fashionable visions of the future.


“It’s fantastic to see the new generation of footwear and accessories designers emerge with such individuality, creativity and flair,” said renowned designer Beatrix Ong, a graduate from 2000. “Seeing the work in such an established retail environment truly brings the student’s work to life.”

We couldn’t quite stretch to a Christmas party in Havana but we had the next best thing with an evening of Salsa and cocktails in Soho’s Floridita.

Marsh Wall

The first two towers are underway (only another 42 storeys to go!). The development will provide in excess of 800 residential units. We are providing CDM Co-ordinator and Party Wall Surveyor services on the Landmark Development in Marsh Wall, Isle of Dogs, for Chalegrove Properties – completion due in late 2009.

Appointments

Osel’s fleet of motorcycles has expanded to 4 with the arrival of Peter Johnston, senior architect. Peter has previously worked with EPR and Auketts. In addition we have two new assistants, James Kilkenny (Part 2) and Clare Bishop (Part 1).

The scaffolding’s down and a new addition to the facade of Commercial Road is unveiled! The newly christened One and Two Fenton Street buildings are virtually complete for handover January 2008. The 46 residential units and c. 5,000 ft2 of retail/ commercial space are clothed in terracotta and render and prove that affordable housing doesn’t have to be uninteresting! Better Bookmakers and Tesco Express have signed up to take the commercial spaces and fitout of their units has already started.
