Project Details |
A new 86 bed apart-hotel, in the heart of Hammersmith. The new Hotel is located within a conservation area. The proposal included demolition of an existing 4 storey hotel which had accommodation at lower ground, ground, first and second floor, and the erection of a 5 storey building with accommodation in the basement, ground, first, second, third and fourth floor mansard. The building above ground sits within the existing building footprint.
The client wanted to explore the use of a modular prefabricated construction technique. The super structural elements of the Hotel were fabricated off site (in the north of England) and shipped to site where they were assembled to form the hotel structure. The Hotel Façade was clad using traditional London Yellow stock brick and render sections and bay windows to reflect the local context. Unit sizes range from 17.8sqm to 24sqm with lift access to all floors. The rooms are built to a high quality finish and detail with a design unique to this hotel. |

Proposals for the reconfiguration of two existing buildings to allow the addition of a new entrance with a staircase leading to a gym at basement level. Osel were involved from early stages advising the client on the development potential of the site, negotiating the planning application with planning authorities and supporting the contractor with all required information up to completion of works.

Concept Design for 200 Unit All Suite Hotel Development for Client Sites throughout the Indian Continent.
The hotel model has been designed to provide 200 suites with all the facilities that a business or leisure traveler would need. Spacious rooms with separate lounge areas and en-suite bath rooms. The rooms are focused about a central atrium, which will have restaurant and bar facilities and lounge seating areas. There will be self contained shops to provide all the goods and services that a traveler may require. The hotel will provide spacious rooms with quality facilities for budget conscious clients. |

Project Details |
Proposal to reinvigorate a tired and dated building and to enliven a lifeless section of St. Alban’s Road. Refurbishment and reconfiguration of the 90 bedroom hotel including improvement of its relationship to the street. Internally, we addressed ground floor reception, lounge area, restaurant, foyer, meeting room and toilets and introduced 10 new bedrooms, ensuites and associated corridors to the first floor by reconfiguring existing back of house areas. The function/ conference suites were also reconfigured within the existing building envelope, giving more flexibility to the hotel operator.
