Planning Consent Granted for Heron House Redevelopment

Osel architecture are proud to announce the success of Ardrea Estates Limited’s, Heron House redevelopment in gaining Planning Consent at Wednesday night’s Brent Planning Committee meeting.
The building comprises a 3 – 5 storey linear wing offset by a 7 storey tower with views south over the stadium and the greater Wembley Growth Area. The application, for 40 dwellings over 9,000 sq ft of office space and associated basement car parking and service areas, was unanimously supported by the committee members. Congratulations to all involved!

We are pleased to share this article that Osel’s Richard Campanini was invited to write for the Bursar’s Review – The Independent Schools’ Bursars Association. The article is being published over two magazines and covers the eight different construction stages (based on the RIBA Plan of Work 2013) and how to successfully deliver a new extension, alterations or a new school building.

Crescent House – Completed

Works have been completed at Crescent House; a development which has provided 36 new self-contained 1,2 and 3 bedroom flats. The works, which are located within the Clapham Common Conservation Area, involved both new construction and sensitive refurbishment of the existing 1930’s office building. Osel were appointed by Galliard Homes Ltd. under a Design and Build Contract to produce the high quality, modern residential spaces.

Osel goes camping

We have just enjoyed an adventurous camping trip away in East Sussex. The weekend included a visit to Ditchling Museum of Art & Craft, a 2014 RIBA National Award winner, a long walk around Ditchling Beacon interrupted by rain and wind, and a campsite BBQ – Osel style!

Osel architecture are pleased to announce that Matt Weyham and Zeta Kachri joined the Board of Directors earlier this month, with both stepping up from Associate level to Director.

These changes to the Board are part of the planned evolution of the Practice and are coupled with the news that from the end of July, Tony Lynch is stepping down as a Director.

These new promotions will complement the drive, enthusiasm and focus of the Board moving forward. Tony will remain with the practice, as a consultant.

Littleberries Estate Phase II

Work is underway to deliver 13 new luxury homes in the second phase of the stunning Littleberries Estate. Conversion of the former headquarters of the British Province of the Order of the Daughters of Charity and St Vincent de Paul comprises a late C17 and C18 mansion house at the heart of the scheme, with early 1900’s additions including a chapel and a lodge house.

New Homes Awards 2017

High honours mark the completion of The Chilterns as it wins the ‘Best Apartment’ category at the 2017 London Evening Standard New Homes Awards on Friday 19th May. We are delighted to have been part of the Galliard Group Team for this exciting project in the heart of Marylebone and we look forward to new challenges ahead.

St Lukes Square – Completed

St Lukes Square in Canning Town involved the conversion of retail areas into twenty two new apartments with private gardens and landscaped areas. The project was completed for our Clients Mizen Design and Build. Osel were responsible for the design and production of the construction information. Find out more info here

Hotel Luma

The scaffolding has been struck at Hotel Luma, Glenthorne Road and 90 rooms built off-site are nearing completion.
