Having previously worked with the original owners of the site during 2015 and 2016 to prepare new build proposals for this mature landscaped site on the edge of Farnborough Town Centre, Osel were appointed in 2017 by the new owners to prepare fresh proposals which retained large elements of the exisitng building’s structure, then altered and extended the property to deliver a more sustainable redevelopment of the site. The proposals convert the existing purpose built office building and extend it to create 112 new build residential units.

This is a landscape led development, set out in a semi-arcadia style, with dwellings informally arranged along a sinuous, meandering roadway. All properties are 2 storey. There are 4 generic house types which are handed and have a varied mix on a palette of similar forms and features. Osel prepared the scheme Design Code and detailed designs for planning approval, before preparing house type working drawings.
