Grand Unveiling of the Arcade Gates

The unveiling of the gates was timed to coincide with the turning on of the Christmas lights. The gates, incorporating the new Burlington Arcade branding, complement the prestigious Arcade and provide increased security to the expanding array of high profile jewelers joining the Arcade.

22 Underhill Road Secures Planning

Redevelopment of site by the erection of a four storey block of 4 flats comprising of 2 x 3 bed and 2 x 2 bed units, including two off-street car parking spaces and refuse facilities to the front and cycle storage to the rear.

Kart Race

Team Osel slipped into their race outfits once again for the 6 hour fundraising endurance event at Buckmore Park International Kart Circuit in Kent. Damon Hill kindly agreed to present the trophies and even took part for a few laps [pictured here seconds before bumping Katie off the track].

Burlington Arcade Phase 1 Completion

Essential remedial works complete at the historic Burlington Arcade. The works were necessary before the refurbishment of this prestigious Arcade commenced later in the year. The remedial works focused on the repair and renewal of the 180m roof including slates, lead work and windows, the cleaning of the internal brickwork through the Arcade, and repair and clean of the stone entrance facades.

Burlington Arcade Phase 2 Commencement

The first of two phases of refurbishment commences. The works include repair of historic plasterwork, a new colour scheme derived from historic paint analysis, new lighting, new central pendant lights based on fittings from a photograph taken in 1905, new signage, CCTV, fire alarm and electrical upgrade, new glazing along the entire length of the Arcade and works to various shop units. The refurbishment is a rolling programme due to complete for the grand opening on 1st June 2008.
